Chris Klein

Chris Klein joined our staff of coaches in Fall, 2008.  Chris plays for the Los Angeles Galaxy, primarily as a right back or right wing.  2009 is his 12th year in MLS.  He has played in 298 MLS games.   In 2007, Chris was voted the MVP of the L.A. Galaxy.  He has 22 caps (games played) with the U.S. National Team.  

Currently, Chris's role with NMSC is to work with our Boys U9 and Boys U13's and to circulate throughout the club's teams, running the same type of training sessions as the Galaxy and infusing his trademarks of hard work and enthusiasm to each of our teams.

Chris has a degree in Business from Indiana University (where he played his college ball).  He lives locally with his wife and two children.  

The Newport Mesa Soccer Club, our parents and our players are very fortunate to have been chosen by such a professional athlete.  Chris is an outstanding role model and we are blessed to have him.
